Arends Plant is an avenue tree nursery located in the Betuwe region. The company’s mission is to provide trees of the highest quality with the best service. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance, and the company operates with a no-nonsense mentality, working hard every day. Albert Arends is at the helm, having taken over the business from his father, Jan. He represents the fifth generation of the tree-growing family.

Specialization

Arends Plant specializes in the sale of avenue trees that have been transplanted two or three times. The tree nursery offers a wide range of different cultivars, all propagated in-house. The trees are available in various sizes and are particularly suitable for further cultivation in containers or directly in the ground. At Arends Plant, we understand the importance of having the correct trunk height and crown formation. These aspects receive meticulous attention throughout the cultivation process.

Expertise

Arends Plant cultivates avenue trees using various methods, and 99% of the process is entirely self-performed. By handling the entire process of propagation, cultivation, and breeding from the very beginning, we ensure the delivery of the highest quality. Through years of continuous monitoring, research, and adjustments, we have developed a formula that results in optimally healthy, developed trees. Tree breeding techniques include methods such as budding, cuttings, or grafting. Arends Plant also includes seedlings in its assortment.

Innovation

The young plants are further cultivated in an airpot-supported system, allowing them to develop a robust root system and receive optimal nutrients. The airpot system is one of the innovative techniques contributing to the development of a beautifully grown final product. Another form of innovation applied is the use of automatic drip irrigation for trees in the open ground. These hoses deliver water and nutrients to the right places, promoting the development of a strong root system in these trees as well.
